“Highest result of Education is Tolerance”- Helen Keller. As we flip through the pages of history,
Tolerance is the basic quality which carried the
women to the pinnacles of the society. Keeping this in view and to expand
the horizons of women students, Government
Degree College for Women Karimnagar, was
established in 1973.
It has started with 262 students with B.A & B.Sc courses. Accelerating
its momentum, today it is flourishing with 3000 students.
Brief History:
The Soil of Karimnagar digested the rich culture of western chalukyan kings
of kalyani; kakatiyas culture of orugallu
and Nizamian culture of Hyderabad. The people of Karimnagar not only tolerated Rajakars but also questioned it.
They took active part in independence struggle and Telangana movement.
